Eligibility Criteria

Balsawood Village is being developed in partnership with Cumberland County Community Development through the use of Federal grant dollars provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  Therefore, certain income restrictions do apply to qualify to purchase a home in Balsawood Village based on household size.  See the table below for current maximum household income limits.

Potential homebuyers must qualify for a mortgage through a financial lending institution.  Owner or seller financing is not available.

Housing Counseling

Kingdom CDC offers homebuyer counseling and education to ensure that buyers know what to expect during the home buying process.  Our goal is to help homebuyers best position themselves financially for  homeownership.

We also provide foreclosure prevention and loss mitigation counseling services.  Through programs offered by the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency (NCHFA), Kingdom assists homeowners who are in jeopardy of losing their home, due to no fault of their own (i.e. job loss, loss of a spouse, etc.), in keeping their homes.
