OUR HISTORY
Founded in 1995 Kingdom CDC was started by several individuals concerned with improving the condition of their surrounding community. The idea was to develop affordable housing as a means of economic and social stimulus. Kingdom's early success allowed it to grow from a small neighborhood grass roots organization into a full-scale Community Development Corporation and member of the NC Community Development Initiative. In 2009, Kingdom CDC produced its 50th unit of affordable housing. Since that time several homes have been completed and sold.
As a part of the effort to prepare prospective buyers for homeownership, Kingdom is committed to providing financial education and counseling. The organization became a HUD-approved housing counseling agency in 2003. Kingdom has provided community workshops and/or counseling for 1000's of clients since then.
OUR MISSION
Kingdom CDC’s mission is to build affordable housing, provide homeownership counseling, restore and revitalize low- to moderate-income communities; to promote and create economic development opportunities through business development, education and training of youth in Fayetteville and surrounding counties.
